Silver Ships Delivers Second and Third AM700 To Mississippi Department of Marine Resources

Silver Ships recently delivered the second and third Ambar 700 (AM700) to the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources in Biloxi, Mississippi, supporting the agency’s ongoing mission of protecting and conserving the state’s coastal resources.

The AM700s were specifically designed for the Office of Marine Patrol, providing a maneuverable vessel for the shallow, congested waterways they operate in. These vessels support the enforcement of state and federal laws governing seafood, aquatic life and coastal wetland habitats across Mississippi’s coast, as well as enforcing laws pertaining to boating safety and providing emergency assistance concerning the marine environment.

The AM700 is powered by twin Suzuki 200 HP outboards, providing the speed needed to respond quickly across nearshore and offshore waters. The vessel’s open center console provides easy access to the main operator stations, with clear pathways on either side and a usable working space on the forward deck for operators performing line handling, interdiction or bringing someone aboard. There is ample storage space in the aft deck, making these vessels the perfect, versatile workboats for the MSDMR Office of Marine Patrol’s mission.

Silver Ships is proud to continue delivering high-quality aluminum workboats to law enforcement agencies across the country.
