Silver Ships recently delivered an Endeavor 34 Fire Boat variant to the Fairhaven Fire Department in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, expanding the department’s marine firefighting and rescue capabilities in Buzzards Bay and the surrounding coastal waterways.

Built to operate in the demanding conditions common to southern Massachusetts, the Endeavor 34 is designed for open water response, congested harbors and shoreline operations along rocky coastlines. The vessel provides Fairhaven firefighters with a stable, maneuverable platform capable of sustained operations in rough seas and high-traffic environments where rapid response and precise boat handling are critical.

The 34-foot aluminum fire boat is equipped with a fire pump system capable of delivering up to 1,500 gallons per minute for onboard firefighting or supplying water to land-based apparatus. Integrated thermal imaging, radar and modern navigation electronics support effective operations during nighttime responses and periods of reduced visibility. A climate-controlled cabin allows crews to provide basic medical care and safely transport patients from marine and island incidents.

Propulsion is provided by twin Mercury 400 Verado V10 AMS outboard engines, delivering a combined 800 horsepower. This configuration offers the speed, reliability and maneuverability needed to reach incidents quickly while maintaining precise control during close-quarters firefighting and rescue operations.

Fairhaven Fire Department, staffed by 31 career firefighters, provides fire suppression, emergency medical services and fire prevention programs to protect the community and its visitors. The addition of the Endeavor 34 strengthens the department’s ability to respond effectively to emergencies on the water while supporting coordinated operations with shore-based resources.
