Naval Special Warfare Surface Support Craft and Special Purpose Craft, Law Enforcement II Vessels – Contract Update
Silver Ships was recently awarded an $11,832,606 firm-fixed-price modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. (N00024-21-D-22005)
The modification exercises options for up to two Naval Special Warfare Surface Support Craft (NSW SSC) and up to 18 Special Purpose Craft, Law Enforcement II (SPC-LE2).
Vessel Specifications and Missions

The NSW SSC is a variant of our Ambar series and can have hull lengths of 8 or 11 meters. They can be outfitted with a topside configuration of an open center console or a walkaround cabin. These vessels are used for ocean diver insertion and swimmer support in training and maritime operations, primarily by the U.S. Navy.

The SPC-LE2, also a variant of our Ambar series has a hull length of 11 meters. These vessels are primarily used by the U.S. Coast Guard as fast response boats for law enforcement, search and rescue, coastal security and environmental protection missions. The SPC-LE2 is one of the fastest patrol boats in the U.S. Coast Guard, boasting a top speed of over 50 knots.
An Army Dive School in Key West, Florida will be the beneficiary of one NSW SSC 8M OCC (Open Center Console), to be used in critical training operations. A Navy Experimental Dive Unit in Panama City, Florida, will also be receiving one NSW SSC 8M OCC. The U.S. Coast Guard will receive all 18 SPC-LE2s to be used as fast response patrol boats.
