Explorer 32 Delivered to Danbury Fire Department

Silver Ships recently delivered a custom fireboat to the Danbury Fire Department in Danbury, Connecticut. The 32-foot Explorer boat is optimally designed to embark on high speed operations in the waters around the city of Danbury, including Candlewood Lake and its attached waterways.

Featuring twin Suzuki DF300B Duo Prop Outboards, the vessel reaches a top speed of 37 knots and is equipped with various hull design additions, making it fully prepared for any mission-specific need. The Explorer Series vessel includes a bow gate and two dive doors, heavy-duty towing equipment, double bow eye and tie down fittings. A fully enclosed, walkaround cabin protects crew members from extreme weather conditions, and the vessel is equipped with flood lights, search lights, emergency lighting and siren.

 

Intended uses for this vessel include dive support operations, vessel fire and other emergency response, patient/victim transport, and multi-agency search and rescue. It includes a fire pump with output of 1000GPM @250PSI, Raymarine Axiom Multi-Function Displays and Radar Dome, multi-use lighting, top-of-the-line navigation, electronics and communication equipment and more.
