Freedom 26 Vessels Delivered for ALEA Operation on Weiss Lake

Silver Ships recently delivered seven patrol boats to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) – Marine Patrol Division. Two of the new patrol boats went to Weiss lake in Cherokee County, Ala. The two Freedom 26 vessels will provide the state troopers with the tools needed to perform their job in an effective and safe manner on Weiss Lake.

The Freedom 26 boats are equipped with multiple features that previous fleets didn’t have. These upgrades include an onboard radar, structure scan HD and twin 250 horsepower Mercury V8 engines. The vessels also feature 3D structure scan with enhanced SideScan and DownScan Imaging, ideal for search and rescue operations.

With the upgrades that were added to these vessels, troopers Eric Watson and Micah Little will be able to patrol Weiss Lake while prepared for any emergency on the water. No matter the mission, these boats are equipped with technology that allows them to locate victims in emergency situations day or night.

The Freedom 26 is designed for strength, durability, speed and safety. With mission-specific outfitting options including lighting, sirens, locking weapons stowage, climate control options, dive doors and tow posts, Silver Ships can create a vessel tailored to any law enforcement mission.
