- 1985 Silver Ships, Inc. was founded by Mike McCarty after a successful career in the commercial fishing industry.

- 1988 Silver Ships started using Computer Aided Design (CAD).

- 1990 Silver Ships built its first Aluminum RHIB

- 1996 Moved to current location in Theodore, AL

- 1997 Started subcontracting for AMBAR Marine

- 2000 Silver Ships purchased AMBAR Marine

- 2002 Added 12,000 square feet of additional production space
